Availability Update

It came as a bit of a shock to me today to realize that I’m nearing max capacity! Thank you all for your help getting up and running, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and work with so many great people.

Please don’t let this announcement prevent you from reaching out if you are feeling like you want some support. I would be happy to put you on a wait-list or help refer you to another therapist. Openings will definitely ebb and flow, so it’s always worth at least checking.

Wishing you all the best, and I hope you’re getting a chance to enjoy this beautiful autumn weather!

Scheduling and Referrals

This is proving to be a very busy time in the world of mental health. Many people are reaching out to providers for support (which is wonderful!), but it also means it’s sometimes hard to find a therapist whose specialities, location, and availability work for you. The process of finding a clinician can be challenging and requires persistence and patience, but the effort can definitely pay off.

Although my appointments at KCS Psychology are currently nearly full, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I do have a couple of slots open, and if they don’t work for you, there are other options. Depending on your preference, I can either put you on a wait list, or I can connect you with another therapist at Counseling Connection or elsewhere who has the specialties and availability you are looking for.

No matter what, if you are considering reaching out, it probably means that there’s a good reason, and it’s time to do so. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you get on the path to wellness, wherever it may lead.

It was also the day I took one of the hardest exams of my life: the EPPP (referred to as the “E triple P”). It is a licensure exam in clinical psychology. It is a doctoral level exam; psychologists nationwide take it to become licensed, however, Vermont is one of the few states that allows master’s level clinicians to also take the test. The test was grueling, the testing environment was high-security, and as my car slowly slipped through the snowy parking lot, I left feeling nervous, hopeful, and only slightly relieved.
